Championships which rapidly became a repetitive chore with tracks that had none of the individuality that the Alive tracks had. Not a major issue, but the way the ones it had were done it got very repetitive - 1/3rd of them were for winning championships. The achievements list was also very uninspired, worse than past ones. At other times if seemed that the AI stopped to wait for you if you came off your bike. Other times you'd be caught up at the end of the race by a bullet-like opponent who would then slam into you on a set-of-bumps-straight at a 45 degree angle, knocking you off the track and effectively out of a race you'd been comfortably leading. Sometimes you'd win by miles, other times you'd struggle to make the podium despite racing as well or better. The fact that the AI was extremely inconsistent and often imitating drunken and vindictive asshats on wheels doesn't help either. Tricks were slightly easier, but bikes far harder to control on the ground, the course design meant you were bouncing from ramp to ramp and combined with worse control (esp on the bikes) it became an exercise in frustration and face-plants.
